ATE protection for most types of personal injury claim. Cover is usually arranged by the acting solicitor with an individual stand-alone policy for more serious cases or through the operation of a delegated authority scheme arrangement. Elements of the policy are as follows:

Cover

  • Other sides’ costs as required.
  • Own disbursements.
  • Cover for own Counsel’s fees (optional).
  • Part 36 cover.
  • Cover for interim cost orders.

Limit of Indemnity

  • Standard limit of indemnity of £100,000

Premiums

  • The premium is deferred until the conclusion of the case.
  • The premium is only payable if the case has a successful outcome.
  • The premium is fixed in advance and depends on when the case concludes.

Scheme Arrangements

We can provide delegated issue facilities on a fixed premium basis for cover to support high volume, lower value personal injury cases, such as road traffic accidents.

Full cover can be provided as required or we can offer cover for own disbursements and failure to beat Part 36 offers only.
